PhD student in Machine Learning & AI
Sapienza University of Rome · first year
Hi. I'm Davide. I am doing a PhD in Machine Learning and AI at Sapienza's Department of Computer Science's GLADIA lab. Which means I spend most of my time groaning about the amount of resources I need but not have, occasionally having a genuine idea, and thinking about SVD.
I do mainly research on sound/music analysis and generation with deep learning. But lately I've also been working with FHE and trying to understand how to make it work for deep learning models.
When I'm not doing research I'm probably playing Final Fantasy XIV, or some other video game, or maybe even building a Gunpla. Ah and I have a collection of fossils and drink a lot of tea.
The list is short. Give it time.
A list of projects I built because I thought they'd be funny.
Built this for a software engineering class. It is as cursed as it sounds, and it was a nightmare to implement... takes roughly 2 hours to make the first move.
This other one was for my statistics class. I scraped a bunch of CS:GO demos of de_dust2, mapped it into a hexagonal grid (hexagons are the bestagons ftw) and then trained a markov chain to predict player positions. It was... interesting.
You can email me. I check my email pretty often lol.
My curriculum vitae. It's a PDF. It has the usual things. Last updated May 2026.
